We are conveniently located near downtown in the Heritage Square shopping center. Blockbuster movie store is also in this same shopping center so you can't miss us! We're on the left side right next door to the Mane Event hair salon.
A little history about Geddie's Toys
It all started in 2008, when I brought in a line of model horses into my feedstore. I decided to have a website designed and it went live in Feb 2009, with only a small assortment of the model horses. In October of 2009, I brought in a new line of replica animals from a company called Safari Ltd. and a line of more traditional toys from Melissa and Doug. There's nothing like bringing in 2 new lines of toys, about 1,000 individual items, right at the Holiday shopping season and trying to get them all loaded onto a website that I was just learning the ins and outs on! LOL
I hadn't really thought of having a retail toy store, everything just kinda evolved that way. My customers that were coming into my feedstore at the time started noticing all of these toys packed in these boxes that was starting to take up a whole end of my store. And they wanted to shop! So to make it easier for my customers so they wouldn't have to dig around in rows and rows of boxes, I started shopping for a retail location and shortly thereafter Geddie's Toy Store was open for business in July 2010.
About Our Toys
Since I've opened the store, I've spent alot of time researching and discovering the great toys that are available that you won't ever see in a big box store. Our toys are open-ended, meaning that they can be played with in a multitude of ways as children grow and discover new ways to challenge their minds.
You don't need to be tech savvy just to put in the batteries in your childn's new toys. And as a matter of fact, most of our toys don't even require any batteries.
